Does anyone else think all indie songs sound the same?

im not being ignorant, but i really find it hard to tell the difference between all these indie bands and all their songs that are so popular at the momment. but i also dont even like them, i hate the sound they have, i prefer distortion, but i dont mind the clean sound, when its got some reverb and a bit of low end to it, it seems the guitars in indie music has the hi end right up and its really tinny and i cant stand it. the guitar playing feels sloppy plus the way they sing is not needed, its a bit over the top, or they sing in annoying accents.
