I am european.Is it ok to wear black to indian baby shower?

Hi. My husband and me are invited to indian baby shower. They are going to have this with all indian traditions. I am blond, blue eyes lithuanian woman. I do not have indian sari. I'd like to wear a black long sleeves blouse decorated with silver beads and black dressy pants. I wonder if black outfit is NOT going to be any offense at that party.
