Do you say "da" instead of "the", and "dat" instead of "that"?

I agree completely. I'm a grammar freak. I know grammar freaks get annoying, but whatever. I hate it when someone says "ain't". It isn't even longer than "isn't". What's the point of it? And you're right, it sounds VERY unintelligent.
