Ivy league admission??????
OK lets be real. Odviously they need 1350+ SAT scores for admission. That is a fact. The GPA, odviously 3.5+, usually 3.9+. SAT II scores odviously have to be high. They use these to see if you would be gifted enough to do well in their school. They don't want kids failing out of their cles, and likewise have a reputation to maintain. In terms of the Carnagy Hall kid, he is an example of someone who either wrote a terrible essay or didn't fit the scores. They tell people that to boost the image of the school, that only the brightest of the bright and the most gifted of the elite make it. Don't be discouraged. They made mistakes that were crucial and they payed for it. Just concentrate on your scores, essay, and what you can and you will be fine if they are good. Just don't worry. Plus that kid probably got accepted to Yale so whatever.
