We both promised we wouldn't drag earthier threw the mud!?

We new it was coming to an end soon! And we both sweared to eachother threw the mud! Only he has dragged me threw hell and back again! I don't understand why hold on to someone that wants to be set free! And live on there own terms not theirs!Why do people do this?Is it a geaoulsy thing or a selfish thing?
