If the Democrats in th Senate p their version of Healthcare, what will happen with a house-senate bill?

Since the big sticking point in the Senate Healthcare bill is the public option and in the House bill the public option got through, when they reconcile the 2 bills, if it doesnt have the public option, it would likely not p in the House and, if it does have the public option, there will be a Senate filibuster because Joe Lieberman would join Republicans. What is the point of going forward now if there is no compromise that will be able to be reached between the House and Senate?
